Agartaka, 27th August 2024:  A seven-month pregnant woman lost her life after nine months of her second marriage. The deceased identified as housewife Rinki Das had tied the knot with Gautam Chandra Shil through social media, without the knowledge of her family. They were living on rent in the Banikya Chowmuhani area.

Allegations have surfaced against Gautam, with Rinki’s brother accusing him of mistreatment. According to the family, Rinki’s sister-in-law rushed her to IGM Hospital around 10:30 PM on Monday, claiming she was unwell. However, upon arrival, they found that Rinki was already in critical condition. The attending doctor shifted her body to GB Hospital for an autopsy.

Disturbingly, before the post-mortem examination, Rinki’s lifeless form was found with both hands tied by ropes. Her brother expressed deep suspicion about the circumstances surrounding her death. Although the initial cause appeared to be breathing problems and increased blood pressure, he questioned why Rinki hadn’t received medical attention earlier.

Adding to the family’s distress, Rinki’s niece revealed that she had been subjected to constant torture by her second husband. In response, Rinki’s brother has filed a case, demanding a thorough investigation into this tragic loss of life.
