Assam Rifles celebrates ‘Hindi Diwas’ at Assam Rifles High School, Teliamura

Agartala, 14th September 2024:   Assam Rifles celebrated Hindi Diwas with great enthusiasm at Assam Rifles High School, Teliamura on Saturday. The event highlighted the importance of the Hindi language in unifying the nation and preserving its rich cultural heritage. In the program, six teachers and 70 students of the school actively participated with enthusiasm, said a press statement circulated by Assam Rifles.

The celebration began with a brief introduction to the significance of Hindi Diwas, marking the adoption of Hindi as the official language of India in 1949. The Principal of Assam Rifles High School delivered a speech encouraging students to embrace their linguistic heritage while promoting multilingualism.

A variety of activities were organized to engage the students and emphasize the role of Hindi language in our rich culture and history. The highlight of the event was a Hindi declamation competition, where students showcased their oratory skills on topics related to culture, national integration, and the significance of Hindi in modern India.

In addition to the declamation competition, students performed poetry recitations, presented skits, and engaged in other cultural performances, all of which centered around the theme of Hindi Diwas. These activities fostered a sense of pride and respect for the language among the young participants.

The event concluded on a high note with the distribution of sweets, symbolizing the unity and joy shared by all participants.
