DGP inspect Police Stations, assures security for peaceful Durga Puja

Agartala, 27th September 2024:  Director General of Police, Amitabh Ranjan, assured on Friday that comprehensive measures have been implemented to ensure a peaceful celebration of the upcoming Durga Puja across Tripura.

On Friday, DGP Ranjan visited multiple police stations in the Gomati and Sepahijala districts to assess their operations and preparedness for the festival.

Speaking to the media, DGP Ranjan highlighted that the Tripura Police are working diligently across the state. “My force is highly motivated. With Durga Puja approaching and after the recent elections, I am personally inspecting police stations. The work being done by my police force is commendable and makes me proud. They are handling every situation with bravery to uphold peace, and I am confident this will continue in the coming days,” he said.He further emphasized that security forces have been strategically deployed across the state to maintain law and order.

“Despite certain challenges, we are making every possible effort to ensure a peaceful atmosphere. We have put several plans in place for Durga Puja, including intensified patrolling and checkpoints. I am confident that this year’s Puja will be peaceful and well-organized,” DGP Ranjan added.
