Sadar police holds meeting with all sound system owners ahead of ‘Sharadiya Utsav’

Agartala, 5th October 2024:  In preparation for the ensuing ‘Sharadiya Utsav’, Sadar Sub-Divisional Police Officer Debaprasad Roy convened a meeting with all sound system owners in the Sadar sub-division area at his office here on Saturday. During the meeting, he highlighted the importance of adhering to the High Court’s order on pollution control.

He specified that noise levels must be maintained between 65 and 70 decibels and that sound systems should operate within the prescribed time limits each day.The police officer warned that legal action would be taken against anyone who violates these regulations. In response, the sound system owners assured the police officer of their commitment to operating within the legal framework. They pledged to monitor noise levels closely, ensuring they remain between 65 and 70 decibels, and to comply fully with the law.
