Agartala, 5th October 2024: An accused from Madhya Laxmibil area named Prasenjit Roy escaped from Bishalgarh police station on Saturday. Roy, who faces charges under a non-bailable section related to a vehicle accident was initially arrested by the Bishalgarh police and brought to the station.
According to the Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Bishalgarh police station, after Roy’s details were recorded, he managed to flee through the main gate and headed towards Bishalgarh Bazar. However, alert local residents quickly intervened, booked Roy and handing him back to the police.
The police have confirmed that Prasenjit Roy will be presented before the court on Sunday.
