Agartala, 7th October 2024:  Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha announced on Monday that effective measures have been taken to ensure law and order in Kadamtala, located in the North District. He emphasized that the situation in the area is now under control and peaceful.

Dr. Saha made these remarks while inaugurating the Durga Puja festivities at the Green Arrow Club in Pratapgarh, Agartala. Speaking about the incident in Kadamtala, he assured the public that the state government, along with the home department and local administration, is actively involved in maintaining peace. “The situation is fully under control, and we will continue to take all necessary actions to uphold peace in the area,” the Chief Minister stated.

While discussing Durga Puja, Dr. Saha highlighted Tripura’s longstanding tradition of celebrating the festival harmoniously. “The Puja festivities began on Tritiya, and I participated in the inauguration on Chaturthi. Today, on Panchami, I have come again to be a part of the celebrations. Everywhere you go, there’s a palpable sense of joy. However, there are always some who attempt to disrupt this peaceful environment,” he said.

He also urged the public to remain vigilant during the celebrations. “Tripura has a beautiful tradition of organizing Durga Puja, and I hope everyone is enjoying these festive days. We extend our heartfelt wishes to the people of Tripura,” Dr. Saha added.

MP and BJP state president Rajib Bhattacharya, Agartala Municipal Corporation Mayor Dipak Majumder, and several other dignitaries were present during the event.
