Agartala, 21st October 2024: A bike rider is fighting for his life following a horrific road accident on flyover where two cars and a motorcycle collided head-on. The biker identified as 55-year-old Shankar Banik is a resident of Ramnagar and currently undergoing treatment at a local hospital.
According to reports, the accident took place on Monday when an Ecco car, an auto-rickshaw and the bike collided on the flyover. Banik was thrown onto the road, suffering severe injuries as a result. Eyewitnesses described the scene as chaotic, with the biker lying motionless after the impact.
“The moment we heard about the crash, we immediately dispatched officers to the scene,” a police official stated. The driver of the Ecco car fled the scene, while the police detained the auto-rickshaw driver for questioning. Authorities are continuing their investigation into the circumstances leading to the crash.
