Agartala, 29th October 2024: A tragic accident occurred on Tuesday in the Bagbasa assembly constituency area when a man lost his life after inhaling toxic gas while cleaning a well.
According to local reports, two individuals entered a well near the Bagbasa police station for cleaning purposes. Shortly after descending, both men lost consciousness due to the presence of hazardous gases in the confined space.
Witnesses, alarmed by the situation, quickly alerted the Dharmanagar Fire Department, who responded swiftly. However, before fire personnel arrived, locals managed to pull the unconscious men from the well. One of the individuals was immediately rushed to Shanichhara Primary Health Center and is reportedly receiving medical care.
The second individual was shifted to North Tripura District Hospital, where, tragically, medical staff declared him deceased upon arrival.
