Agartala, 22nd November 2024: The All Drivers Welfare Association came to the aid of truck driver Barun Sarkar, who was severely injured in an accident in the Baramura area two and a half years back. Sarkar, a resident of Usha Bazar sustained a leg injury that led to the amputation of his leg. Struggling with his condition, he appealed to the Driver Association for help.
Responding to his plea, the All Drivers Welfare Association arranged for Sarkar to receive treatment out-of-state, including the fitting of an artificial leg. After successfully undergoing treatment, Sarkar returned to the state today. He was greeted with a warm welcome and a wreath at the Agartala airport by members of the association.
“Barun’s journey has been incredibly challenging, but we are proud to have supported him through this difficult time,” said a representative from the All Drivers Welfare Association. “His resilience and determination are truly inspiring.”
Sarkar expressed his gratitude to the association and his fellow drivers for their unwavering support. “I am deeply thankful for the help I received. This new leg has given me a new lease on life,” he said.
The association’s efforts highlight the importance of community and support in overcoming adversity, showcasing the strength and unity of the driver community in times of need.
