Agartala, 11th December 2024: The Purathal Rajnagar sub-health center was found locked until 9 am on Wednesday prompting MLA Sushanta Deb to take immediate action. Responding to complaints from locals about the irregular working hours of health workers, Deb visited the center and confirmed the validity of the grievances.
“Health workers at the Purathal Rajnagar sub-health center have been operating according to their own whims, despite the center’s official opening time being 8 am,” Deb stated. Upon his arrival, he observed the center remained locked until 9 am, corroborating the locals’ complaints.
From the site, Deb instructed health department officials to ensure that health workers perform their duties properly. “A section of government employees is attempting to tarnish the state government and the ruling BJP party’s image. This will not be tolerated,” he warned.
Deb emphasized that providing timely and proper services to the people is a primary objective of the current BJP government. The MLA’s intervention highlights the ongoing efforts to address inefficiencies and improve public service delivery in the region.
