Floral tributes were paid to Rationalist leader and

social reformer Periyar E V Ramasamy on the occasion of his 57th death

anniversary on Tuesday.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and DMK President M K Stalin, accompanied

his Cabinet colleagues and senior leader, paid floral tributes at the Periyar

Thidal, the memorial of the social reformer in the city.

Later, he also inaugurated a library and a research centre at the

Periyar Thidal in the presence of Dravidar Kazhagam President

K Veeramani to mark the occasion.
