Manipur Governor reviews security situation

 Manipur Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla, on Saturday comprehensively reviewed the overall security situation in the state.

Taking stock of the prevailing law and order situation, the Governor reviewed the security apparatus and its arrangements throughout the state, focusing on border areas.

The Governor directed the state DGP to prioritize the safety and security of the people and urged officers from the Army and paramilitary forces to extend their fullest cooperation to the administration in maintaining law and order in the state.

The Security Advisor to the Govt. Rajiv Singh, DGP; Maj Gen Ravroop Singh, the IGAR (South); and senior officers of the CRPF and BSF attended the meeting.

Manipur witnessed a major crisis in Kangpokpi district when heavily armed Kuki militants attacked DC and SP office in which the SP , Prabhakar was injured.

The situation remains tense at Kangpokpi.
