8 kg of Marijuana recovered from Jan Shatabdi Express

Agartala, 27th January 2025:   During a routine police search, 8 kg of marijuana was recovered from the Jan Shatabdi Express at Dharmanagar railway station. However, the Dharmanagar police were unable to arrest any smugglers.

A police official stated, “The search was conducted as part of our ongoing efforts to strengthen the security system. Today, when the Jan Shatabdi Express arrived at Dharmanagar railway station, we conducted a thorough search of the general compartment and recovered 8 kg of dried marijuana.”

Despite the successful recovery of the contraband, the police were unable to arrest any individuals involved in the smuggling operation. The investigation is ongoing as authorities work to identify and apprehend those responsible.
