Agartala, 31st January 2025: A tractor vehicle lost control and met with a severe accident resulting in the death of the driver and injuries to four workers at Jampui hill. The accident took place around 11 am when the tractor, bearing registration number TR01AX-1751 hit a barricade and overturned between Manpui and Vangmun.
The 30-year-old driver Amal Nath died on the spot. His residence was identified in the Jalabasa area of Panisagar subdivision. The Kanchanpur Fire Department responded promptly, rescuing the injured workers and transporting them to Kanchanpur Sub-Divisional Hospital.
Two critically injured workers were later shifted to North Tripura District Hospital, while the other two are receiving treatment at Kanchanpur Sub-Divisional Hospital. The body of the deceased driver was handed over to his family after an autopsy.
