Two workers severely injured in electrical accident at Bodhjangnagar substation

Agartala, 6th February 2025:   Two workers were seriously injured this morning while working at the 133 KV control room at the Bodhjangnagar substation. The workers Sachindra Debbarma and Gautam Barman were electrocuted while performing their duties and fell to the ground.

Their colleagues promptly rescued them and rushed them to GB Hospital, where they are currently battling for their lives. Reportedly, Debbarma and Barman, who were working as a helper and outsourcing staff respectively, encountered the electrical accident during their routine tasks.

Witnessing the horrific scene, other workers immediately took action and transported the injured men to GB Hospital. Medical sources have reported that their conditions remain critical.

Authorities are investigating the incident to understand the cause of the electrocution and to implement measures to prevent such accidents in the future.
