Agartala, 28th February 2025:   A major controversy has erupted in the capital city as several students have accused SR Education, a coaching center located near MBB College, of fraudulent activities. The students, who had enrolled in the institute with the promise of securing admission in various courses outside the state, are now left in distress as their money has allegedly been misappropriated.

According to reports, the coaching center prominently displayed a large signboard advertising special facilities for admission to MBBS, Pharmacy, BDS, B.Tech, B.Ed, MBA, Paramedical, and Nursing courses in institutions across Tripura, West Bengal, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka, and Maharashtra. Trusting these claims, numerous students had enrolled for different courses, including B.Ed in West Bengal, by paying an amount of Rs 35,000 in installments over the past few months.

However, with the commencement of the new academic session, the students were shocked to learn that the coaching center authorities have now refused to take any responsibility for their admissions. The students claim that SR Education has outright denied any knowledge of their applications, leaving them stranded after months of investment in both time and money.

Outraged by this deception, the affected students staged a protest outside the coaching center on Friday, demanding justice. They urged the Chief Minister and the state government to take immediate action against SR Education and conduct a thorough investigation into the matter.

“If strict measures are not taken, many more students will fall prey to such fraudulent activities in the future,” said one of the protesting students.

The incident has raised serious concerns about the functioning of private coaching centers in the state, highlighting the urgent need for government intervention to ensure transparency and prevent such scams from targeting innocent students.

Authorities are yet to issue an official statement regarding the allegations, but pressure is mounting on the administration to take swift action against the accused coaching center.
