Agartala, October 12, 2022: Agartala Municipal Corporation Mayor Dipak Majumder along with Deputy Mayor Manika Das Datta, Corporation’s Commissioner Sailesh Kumar Yadav and others on Wednesday noon welcomed a 15-member delegation of Aizawl Municipal Corporation led by its Executive Councillor H Zonunsanga in Agartala city.
The 15-member delegation consisted of Executive Councillor and councilors from Aizwal MC. They have interacted with the Mayor, Deputy Mayor and Councillors of Agartala MC. During interaction, Aizawl MC delegates invited Agartala MC’s elected body to visit their city in Mizoram.
Speaking to media persons here, Mayor Majumder said “A 15-member delegation of Aizawl Municipal Corporation is on five-day visit here from October 10 last. They have gathering knowledge on various developmental works under the Agartala Municipal Corporation. They went through solid waste management system and will implement this in their Aizawl city. During their stay here, the delegates praised the activities of Agartala MC. In Tripura, the corporation and Agartala smart city limited is working together for the development of the capital city.”
“Central government awarded Agartala MC with first position under PMAY-Urban and the Corporation also bagged the first row in solid waste management system among all urban bodies across the country”, he added.
