Agartala, 7th April 2025:  Fatikroy MLA and SC Welfare Minister Sudhanghsu Das visited the Rajkandi Primary Health Center today to ensure patients are receiving proper services. “It is crucial that every patient gets the care they deserve,” Das stated during his visit.

Following this, Das held discussions with officials at the Rajkandi Zonal Office to address pressing issues in the tribal area, including access to clean drinking water and road infrastructure. “Immediate action is needed to resolve these problems,” Das instructed the concerned departments.

MDC Dhirendra Debbarma, the District Magistrate, and other local representatives accompanied Das during the visit.

Meanwhile, residents of Durai Shyamarai subdivision raised concerns over a year-long water crisis despite the installation of a government pump. “We haven’t seen water from this pump for almost a year,” a local resident complained. The pump operator reportedly runs it for limited hours, leaving 22 families unable to collect water. The situation has worsened in recent days, with no water available for three consecutive days.

In response, Kamalpur Subdivision DWS Officer Sunil Debbarma assured residents that the issue would be resolved soon. “We will provide water through government vehicles until the problem is fixed,” Debbarma promised after meeting with the villagers.
