BAHC Arif Mohammed visits Sabroom’s Maitri Setu, ICP & SEZ

Agartala, October 20, 2022: The Assistant High Commissioner of Bangladesh in Agartala Arif Mohammed on Thursday visited the Bharat-Bangla Maitri Setu (Indo-Bangla Friendship Bridge), Integrated Check Post and Special Economic Zone at Sabroom sub-division.

At around 11 AM this morning, AHCB Arif Mohammed reached the Maitri Setu at Sabroom, accompanied by Mohammad Rezaul Haque – First Secretary and Mohammad Al-Amin – First Secretary. Arriving at Maitri Bridge, he spoke to BSF Commandant Lala Krishnakumar Lal of the 96th Battalion. After that, he went to Zero Point on top of Maitri Bridge and spoke to the officers assigned to the ICP work in Bangladesh.

Along with the officers of the organization, at around 12:30 PM, the Assistant High Commissioner examined the geographical location of the Special Economic Zone, after observing the various development works of Sabroom town, the Assistant High Commissioner expressed his opinion that “Maitri Setu will be a huge business between the entire North-East region and Bangladesh in the coming days. There is a possibility that Sabroom could reach the pinnacle of development. Bangladesh will also be economically prosperous and he expressed considerable satisfaction observing the geographical location of the Special Economic Zone.”

During his visit, DCM Manoj Prabhakar Pal was accompanying him on behalf of Sabroom sub-division administration. The Assistant High Commissioner left Sabroom at around 1:30 PM.
