Agartala, 17th April 2025: Tragedy struck in the Das Para area near Sukanta Colony Mosque under Natunbazar police station as a 26-year-old housewife named Nayan Moni Das reportedly attempted to end her life by self-immolation following a family dispute. Her husband has been identified as Samir Saha.
Alerted by the incident, local residents acted swiftly, rushing her to Natunbazar Hospital. Due to the severity of her condition, the attending doctor referred her to Gomati District Hospital and subsequently, she was further referred to GBP Hospital for better treatment.
