Vegetable trader killed in road accident near Modern Club

Agartala, 19th April 2025:   A vegetable trader lost his life in a tragic road accident near the Modern Club this morning. The victim has been identified as Pranab Kumar Saha, a resident of Subhash Tilla was on his way to Battala Bazar when the incident took place.

Eyewitnesses reported that a speeding car struck Saha near the Modern Club, leaving him fatally injured. Locals immediately alerted the fire brigade, which rushed to the scene, rescued the victim, and transported him to IGM Hospital. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries on the spot.

In the aftermath of the accident, local residents seized the vehicle responsible, but the driver managed to flee the scene before authorities could apprehend them.

Speaking to reporters, the deceased’s brother shared that Saha, a vegetable trader by profession, had left home early in the morning for his daily market routine. The incident has cast a pall of gloom over the Subhash Tilla area, leaving the locality in mourning.
