Bagafa Agriculture Dept raids illegal fertilizer shops

Agartala Oct 29: On Saturday at least 10 shops were raided by the Bagafa Agricultural Department in Manpathar market.Sujit Kumar Das, supervisor of Bagafa Agriculture Department led the operation owing to the interest of the farmers.

Reportedly, the Supervisor got aware of some unscrupulous traders are selling agricultural fertilizers and seeds illegally in Manpathar market without any proper and valid license. Based on the information, a special operation was conducted in Manpathar market on Saturday along with OC Jayanta Das of Manpathar outpost police station, Sector Officer of Bagafa Agriculture Department Subhendu Majumder and others.

Talking to the reporters, Sujit Kumar Das said, “Strict action will be taken against all traders who are selling fertilizers and seeds illegally”. He asked traders to make a proper license before doing such business.
