Agartala, 6th May 2025: A seven-day National Service Scheme (NSS) camp commenced today at the premises of Khudiram Basu English Medium School, Jail Road here. The inauguration ceremony was graced by Rajya Sabha MP Rajib Bhattacharjee, who emphasized the importance of community service and social responsibility.
As part of the event, a mega blood donation camp was organized where MP Bhattacharjee actively encouraged donors and stressed the significance of voluntary blood donation. “Blood donation and its organized facilitation are crucial for society. This is a shining example of humanity,” he remarked.
Highlighting the role of NSS in shaping responsible citizens, the MP noted that the initiative fosters social responsibility, disaster preparedness, and a commitment to helping others among volunteers. He further underscored the importance of conducting such workshops annually in schools to instill these values in students.
The ceremony was attended by school authorities, teachers, students, and NSS unit members. Concluding the event, MP Bhattacharjee expressed gratitude to the organizers and blood donors for their contributions to the noble cause.
