CM extends swift help to ailing citizens in Mukhyamantri Samipeshu

Agartala, 14th May 2025:  In the 43rd edition of the ‘Mukhyamantri Samipeshu’ held today, Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha directly interacted with citizens from across the state who sought assistance for various health and livelihood concerns.

The session, hosted at the Chief Minister’s official residence, once again demonstrated the government’s commitment to responsive governance.

Among the many who attended, Prabir Das, a cancer patient and salesman from Sekerkot, and Rajkumar Sarkar, a daily wage worker from Gandatwisa seeking neurological treatment for his son Antar, received immediate help.

The Chief Minister directly contacted the Superintendents of Atal Bihari Vajpayee Regional Cancer Hospital and GBP Hospital to ensure swift medical attention for both cases.

Similarly, Rina Das, a widow from Laxminarayan Bari Lane in Banamalipur, and Annapurna Das, a heart patient from Ramnagar, Agartala, were promised full support.

The Chief Minister instructed GBP Hospital authorities to oversee their treatment and initiate the process for their Ayushman cards to ensure long-term medical coverage.

From Saboom’s Magurchhara, private tutor Abhijit Laskar sought help for eye treatment, and was promptly assured assistance. Mithu Chakraborty of Teliamura raised concern over his 9-year-old son’s speech disability. The Chief Minister advised regular speech therapy sessions at GBP Hospital.

In another heartfelt appeal, Hira Das (Shil) of Reshambagan requested support for her husband Montu Kumar Shil, a daily wage labourer.

The Chief Minister directed the Secretary of the Social Welfare and Social Education Department to provide free medication and disability allowance.

Several others, including cancer patient Shobha Ranjan Chakma from Dakshin Chailengta, three-year-old Payel Biswas from Gokulnagar, Bhola Ghosh, and Pulin Chandra Das from Town Baradowali, also sought medical assistance. Each was assured of necessary help and follow-up.

Senior officials including CM’s Secretary Dr. P. K. Chakraborty, Social Welfare and Social Education Department Secretary Tapas Roy, Health Director Dr. Tapan Majumder, GBP Hospital Superintendent Dr. Shankar Chakraborty, Cancer Hospital Superintendent Dr. Shiromani Debbarma, IGM Hospital Superintendent Dr. Debashree Debbarma, and representatives of Ayushman Bharat and Chief Minister Jan Arogya Yojana were present to coordinate actions on the spot.
