Former CM Biplab Deb interacts with media representatives on National Press Day

Agartala, November 16: On the auspicious occasion of “National Press Day – 2022”, former Chief Minister and incumbent Rajya Sabha MP Biplab Kumar Deb on Wednesday interacted with media personnel comprising editors, news editors, proprietors, bureau-in-chiefs, senior journalists, reporters and photo-journalists at his official residence here.

Speaking to media persons here on Wednesday afternoon, Deb significantly appealed the press people to showcase the news stories in such way that the people coming from outside the state can easily assess the scenario of the state.

“People have tenacity of reading newspapers immensely. Hence, many people visit Tripura on different purposes and they try to collect newspaper to know about the scenario of the state. If the newspapers publish worthy news, then it can create an healthy impact, both for readers and state as well. News stories without base will create negative impact for the state and assessment is bad”, he added.

Apart from this, former CM replied to bunch of queries raised by the media personnel on the forthcoming assembly election slated to be held early next year. Not only this, he also clarified the stand point of BJP, it’s allied partner IPFT before 2018 and 2023 in the state while TIPRA Motha is not a factor as the saffron party will sweep all 20 ST-reserved seats.
