Agartala, 24th May 2025: In a significant breakthrough, Tripura Police of Bishalgarh Police station arrested six youths involved in two separate criminal incidents—a robbery in the Charilam Manu Fakir Dargah area and a theft in the Gokulnagar Rastematha locality.
Acting on a tip-off, a joint team led by Officer-in-Charge Sanjit Sen and Second OC Kapil Pal, with support from TSR jawans, conducted a late-night raid at Madhupur Noaobari and apprehended four accused along with firearms. These individuals are believed to be linked to a string of criminal activities in the region.
The arrested include Samardwip Bardhan alias Sagar, resident of Madhupur Adivasi Colony – believed to be the main mastermind, Kaushik Debnath, Arpan Sarkar, Akash De and Sagar (full identity pending), Rajkumar Saha.
Police said that the arrests are in connection with Case Numbers 36/2025 BLG and 37/2025 BLG registered at Bishalgarh Police Station. Police confirmed that all six accused will be produced before the court today with a plea for police remand.
Authorities have lauded the swift action of the Bishalgarh police team, which successfully dismantled what appears to be a well-organized criminal gang.
