Body recovered from pond in Kamalpur

Agartala: November 23. A dead body of a person was recovered from a pond of Chalubari Panchayat under Kamalpur police station. The name of the deceased is Jaisingh Gaur, aged 50 years.

His house is in Nag Banshi village under Kamalpur police station. It is known that Jaisingh Gaur left the house three days ago. Then he never returned home. Often he left home and traveled from village to village to work in people’s homes. Also he used to drink most of the time. Residents of Nag Banshi village believe Jaisingh Gaur fell into the pond while going from Chalubari village to Nag Banshi village on Tuesday night. Being intoxicated, he could not save himself and as a result, he drowned in water. Locals saw the body this morning and informed the police. After receiving information about the incident, the police recovered the body from the spot and sent to hospital for post-mortem.
