Two injured after dacoit attacks couple in Charilam

Agartala: November 26. After Kailashahar, this time the incident of dacoity took place in Charilam Puran Bari area of Bishalgarh subdivision. According to the details of the incident, a group of robbers entered in a house of one Gopal Debnath, a resident of Charilam Puran Bari area around 12:30 on Friday night.

As per report the robbers first enter the house after cutting the main door and started scuffling with Jharna Debnath wife of Gopal Debnath to snatch her gold ornaments. When Gopal rushed to the spot he has seen more than four persons are standing infront of him with sharp weapons like dao and etc. Gopal however started scuffle with the robbers following which he received cut injuries on his face, leg and on hand. On the other hand, his wife Jharna received cut on his forehead.

After the incident Bishalgarh Sub-Division Additional Superintendent of Police Manabendra Chowdhury, Bishalgarh Police Station OC Badal Chandra Saha rushed to find out the main mystery of this incident at 11 am on Saturday.However, the police are reluctant to say anything about the investigation. On Friday night only, it was reported to the Bishalgarh police station and also the Bishalgarh fire department personnel who rushed the victims to hospital. Gopal Debnath told the media that when his wife started screaming, a group of three to four young men entered the house.  The police has recovered the dao which was used while attacking the couple.
