Sushanta inaugurates training programme for newly appointed Food inspector at SIPARD

Agartala, 5th June 2025 :   Minister for Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs (FS & CA) Sushanta Chowdhury inaugurated a comprehensive training programme for newly appointed Food Inspectors at the State Institute of Public Administration and Rural Development (SIPARD), Camperbazar here today.

Addressing the gathering as Chief Guest, Minister Chowdhury underscored the critical role of Food Inspectors in ensuring transparency and efficiency within the public distribution system. He emphasized the necessity for officers to act decisively during crises, citing instances like railway disruptions that impact supply chains and market stability.

Highlighting the significance of the position, the Minister reminded that the Food Inspector role serves as a feeder post to the Tripura Civil Service (TCS) Grade II. He urged officers to uphold integrity and remain vigilant, noting that their actions are subject to continuous oversight.

“This training will be conducted by experts and resource persons who will equip you with the knowledge and skills to tackle challenges effectively for the betterment of society,” stated Minister Chowdhury.

He further called upon the officers to adhere strictly to departmental protocols and fulfill their responsibilities with dedication to serve the public interest.

The event was attended by the Debapriya Bardhan, Special Secretary of the FS & CA Department and Saumitra Bandopadhyay, Director FS & CA and other dignitaries.
