Agartala, 8th June 2025:   A Blood donation camp was organized to mark the foundation day of the Nabarun Club in Udaipur today.

The camp was inaugurated with a symbolic tree-watering ceremony by the Finance Minister Pranajit Singha Roy.

In his inaugural speech, the minister said, “Blood donation is a noble act. A single drop of blood can save the life of a critically ill patient. Blood has no caste, no religion, no race. It doesn’t matter whose blood is going into whose body. When a critically ill patient desperately needs blood, only then the patient and their family truly understand its importance. Even today, scientists have not been able to find an alternative to blood.”

The minister praised Nabarun Club for organizing such an initiative. Emphasizing that donating blood just once is not enough. He urged donors to come forward to help critically ill patients by donating again every three months.

Alongside the minister the event was attended by MLA Jitendra Majumder, Chairman of Udaipur Municipal Council Shital Chandra  Majumder, social worker Sabita Nag and members of the club.

Along with the minister, the guests also appealed to all clubs and individuals to get involved in social work by actively participating in blood donation.
