After the Indian Hockey Team secured a spot in the semi-finals at the Paris Olympics 2024, Bollywood celebrities Anil Kapoor, Taapsee Pannu, and Emraan Hashmi took to social media to celebrate the achievement.
The Indian contingent has been making the country proud with their successes across various events at the ongoing Olympics. On August 4, the Indian Hockey Team’s progression to the semi-finals sparked widespread celebration. Bollywood stars were among those expressing their excitement and admiration for the team.
Anil Kapoor shared a picture of the victorious team on his Instagram stories, writing, “An edge-of-the-seat match that ends with a win for Team India!!! The semi-finals are going to be amazing! Congratulations on a well-deserved win!! Come on.”
Taapsee Pannu, who watched the match live from the stands in Paris, shared multiple glimpses of the team’s performance and victory. She also posted a picture with her sister Shagun Pannu against the backdrop of the stadium, noting, “The thrill to win!”
Emraan Hashmi also congratulated the team on social media, posting a picture of the players celebrating and stating, “Wow congratulations team India.”
Taapsee Pannu, who had been in Paris supporting her husband Mathias Boe, a coach for Indian badminton players, reflected on her experience in the city after her husband’s exit from the tournament and Boe’s retirement as coach. She shared visuals from her final day in Paris and remarked, “What a wonderful bright day it was at the Olympics. And what a fun game to watch before leaving Paris. This has been truly an experience of a lifetime to spend almost a week in Paris watching games.” Pannu also expressed her anticipation for the release of her upcoming films, Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba and Khel Khel Mein.
