Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on Tuesday paid glowing tributes to veteran singer Bhupinder Singh who passed away on Monday.
Shinde said Singh was “an artist who dominated the hearts of the fans with his soulful voice” and now it “has been lost”.
In his condolence message the chief minister stated that Singh sang many ghazals with his soul-stirring voice alongside playback singing for several movies.
“His melodious and soulful voice will remain forever etched in the hearts of his fans. A heartfelt tribute to the veteran singer,” he added.
The singer who will forever rule the hearts of music lovers with ” Naam Gum jayega”, “Ek akela”, “Huzoor is kadar” and many more, breathed his last at a city hospital here after prolonged illness at 7.45 pm on Monday.
