Urmila Jamnadas aka ‘Baa’ bids adieu to ‘Masterchef India’

Date:

Urmila Jamnadas Asher who is lovingly known as ‘Baa’ on ‘MasterChef India’ has been an incredible source of motivation for everyone with her brilliant and experienced cooking skills.

‘Baa’ has been an inspiration to the judges, Chefs Ranveer Brar, Garima Arora and Vikas Khanna right from the start with her cheerful, upbeat personality. Because she is so skilled and knowledgeable, everyone was able to pick up valuable lessons from her.

The time pressure, combined with the fact that she is a native Gujarati whose culinary experience is with Gujarati food, made it challenging for her to prepare something unfamiliar. She did wonderfully on the show, but alas, her time there is over.

‘Baa’ appreciated Priyanka from Kolkata too for assisting her with her meal. She may not have won the competition, but she has certainly won many hearts and set a great example for those who are reluctant to try something new as they become older. As announced on the show, she has been invited by the President Droupadi Murmu which is a huge honour for Baa, and a moment of pride for ‘MasterChef India’.

Speaking about her time on the show, she said, “In the same way that I appreciate the chances that ‘Masterchef India’ gave me to try new foods, I am glad to see that others will continue to have them here. Despite my departure, I am carrying with me an abundance of wonderful memories and, of course, a wealth of new knowledge thanks to this fantastic show”.

‘MasterChef India’ airs on Sony and SonyLIV.
