Agartala, 11th March 2026:  In the Sabroom subdivision, students and parents of North Daulbari S.B. School have raised their voices against the recent transfer of a teacher.

The school, which is already struggling with a shortage of teachers, saw the transfer of teacher Debopriya Majumdar to another location, prompting protests from the school community.

Today, students and parents locked the main gate of the school and staged a demonstration, even blocking the road adjacent to the school. They expressed that the transfer of Debopriya Majumdar is unacceptable under any circumstances, claiming that the lack of teachers is putting the future of students at risk.

According to the parents, the school currently has only five teachers for classes one through eight, and with one teacher being transferred, the shortage has become critical. They demand that no teacher be transferred from the school until a new teacher is appointed to fill the vacancy.
