Zakir Khan compares Shubh’s journey with Ustad Amir Khan on Superstar Singer 3

Date:

This Sunday at 9:30 PM, Sony Entertainment Television’s homegrown children’s singing reality show, ‘Superstar Singer 3’, brings viewers the ‘Journey Special’.

In this episode, the talented contestants will leave no stone unturned to impress as they inch one step closer to winning the coveted title of ‘Superstar Singer 3’.

Upping the entertainment quotient will be the much-loved Zakir Khan, one of the biggest stars in the Indian comedy space, who will be coming to promote his upcoming show, ‘Aapka Apna Zakir’.

Not only will Zakir encourage the contestants with his funny antics but will also share his love for music with them. Fourteen-year-old Shubh Sutradhar, from Siliguri, will captivate everyone with his mesmerizing rendition of ‘Rehen Na Rahen Hum’ and ‘Ve Kamleya’, earning him a standing ovation.

Making an interesting revelation about Shubh, Super Judge Neha Kakkar told Zakir Khan that Shubh is also a tabla player who used to play for a singer but later went on to pursue singing. She added, “I am speechless. Shubh, you sang both songs so well. Your singing moved me; on Superstar Singer 3, you’ve proved that you’re a good singer and you have made all of us fall in love with your voice. Many renowned personalities have appreciated your singing, including Karan Johar, and they’ve seen a playback singer in you. Your journey has been beautiful and we are all very happy for you.”

Comedian Zakir Khan also shared, “I got very emotional listening to your story. Your story is similar to that of Ustad Amir Khan Saab. In the world of singers, no one is like him, and no one can be as big as him. He used to play an instrument as well, and after listening to a singer, he stopped playing and started singing. I hope your journey is like his. The days when you’re not singing in a studio will be a waste for the music industry. I hope you achieve great success. My blessings to you.”

Later, in a tongue-in-cheek moment, Zakir Khan raised a fun complaint against Shubh wherein he followed Shubh on Instagram after listening to his previous performance of ‘Ve Kamleya’, but Shubh didn’t follow him back. Zakir Khan even showed Shubh that he followed him and added, “Shubh, what will it take for you to follow me back?” In response, Shubh ran to get his phone and followed Zakir back at that very moment.
