10,000 cannabis plants destroyed at Jatrapur

Agartala, 15th November 2025:   In a major crackdown on illegal cannabis cultivation, Jatrapur Police Station and TSR personnel of Sepahijala district conducted a joint operation today at 7 am destroying nearly 10,000 cannabis plants.

According to police, the plants were spread across three separate locations inside a forested area. The operation was carried out following prolonged surveillance, after which the team entered the targeted zones and uprooted the illicit crops.

Officials stated that such anti-narcotics drives will continue, and strict action will be taken against those involved in illegal cannabis cultivation.
