Agartala, 12th February 2024 : In a significant step towards boosting employment opportunities across the nation, the 12th edition of the Rozgar Mela was successfully organized at the Frontier Headquarters of the Border Security Force (BSF) in Shal Bagan.
The event witnessed the presence of Pratima Bhoumik, Union Minister of State for the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India, who graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
Addressing the gathering, Minister Pratima Bhoumik emphasized the nationwide scale of the Rozgar Mela, taking place simultaneously at 47 locations across the country. A total of 47 Union Ministers were dispatched to oversee the event, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi playing a pivotal role in distributing one lakh appointment letters to job seekers through a video conference.
During the virtual interaction, Prime Minister Modi laid the foundation stone of the first phase of the integrated Karmayogi Bhavan complex in Delhi.
Minister Bhoumik shared that the Prime Minister also inaugurated the foundation stone and highlighted the government’s commitment to empowering women economically. She mentioned that the Prime Minister aims to create 3 crore Didi Lakhpati in the current year’s interim budget, with 84 thousand Lakhpati didis already established in the state.
A total of 46 individuals, including 43 from Tripura, were presented with employment letters during the Rozgar Mela.
Minister Bhoumik stressed the transformative potential of these appointments, stating that the development of individuals in their respective roles would contribute to the vision of creating a developed India by 2047. Notable attendees at the event included officials from the BSF and Grameen Bank.
The Rozgar Mela serves as a platform for connecting job seekers with employment opportunities while showcasing the government’s commitment to addressing unemployment challenges and fostering economic growth.
