Agartala, August 10, 2022: A total of 140 voters from 30 families from Ananda Nagar and Kamal Nagar Gram Panchayats joined the Bharatiya Janata Party at Boxanagar Mandal on Wednesday.
They were welcomed by the Sepahijala district president Debabrata Bhattacharya, mandal president Subhash Saha, district vice-president Tafazzal Hossain, Panchayat Samiti chairman Sanjay Sarkar and vice-chairman Ershad Mia, and Kisan Morcha district president Joydeb Sarkar.
The newcomers said “We joined the BJP party because of the principles and ideals of the BJP party are for the benefit of the people of the area.” Later, the district president held a road meeting in Kamalnagar market.
