MP Rajib meets ailing Banamalipur candidate Gita Roy at GB Hospital

Agartala, 13th March 2026:   Veteran BJP leader and former Banamalipur assembly constituency candidate (2013) Gita Roy has been admitted to the Intensive Care Unit of GB Hospital following age-related complications. She has been under medical supervision for several days, according to hospital sources.

Today, BJP State president and Rajya Sabha MP Rajib Bhattacharjee visited the hospital to check on her condition. He interacted with doctors and family members to obtain a detailed update on her treatment.

Expressing concern, Bhattacharjee conveyed his prayers for Roy’s recovery, emphasizing her long-standing contribution to the party. Local BJP workers and supporters have also extended their wishes, acknowledging her decades of dedication and role in shaping Tripura’s political landscape.
