16 leaders left TIPRA Motha and joins BJP

Agartala, June 17, 2023: As many as 14 leaders left the TIPRA Motha party and officially joined the ruling BJP on Saturday. The main opposition party in the state, TIPRA Motha witnesses split as several leaders joined the BJP on Saturday.

On the occasion, a programme was held at the state head office of BJP on Saturday. Party’s state president Rajib Bhattacharjee, handed over the party flag to the newcomers and welcomed them into the party. MP Rebati Tripura and other prominent leaders were present in the function organized on the occasion.

The leaders who left the opposition and joined the ruling party said that they joined the BJP after realizing that there is no future for the regional party in the state.

Meanwhile, the leaders of BJP said that the people are joining under the flag of BJP as they are attracted by the programs that BJP is implementing for public welfare across the country. Today the state is reflected. Several other leaders of the opposition party are also waiting to join the ruling party, it has been reported by the party.
