2024-25 budget is inclusive, designed for wellbeing of all: CM

Agartala, 1st March 2024:   Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha lauded the forward-looking approach of the state budget for the fiscal year 2024-25, totaling Rs. 27,804.67 crore, emphasizing its commitment to development.

The budget, presented by Finance Minister Pranajit Singha Roy in the Tripura Legislative Assembly, is hailed by Dr. Saha as inclusive and focused on building ‘Ek-Tripura, Srestha Tripura, Unnata-Tripura.’

Dr. Saha expressed his approval of the budget, highlighting its orientation towards the comprehensive development of all societal segments. He commended Finance Minister Pranajit Singha Roy for crafting a budget that prioritizes the well-being of various groups, including women, students, youth, the third gender, tribals, scheduled castes, OBCs, minorities, employees, and pensioners.

The Chief Minister emphasized the genuine orientation of the budget towards public welfare, anticipating significant benefits for individuals from diverse backgrounds. He expressed personal satisfaction with the proposed budget, expressing optimism about its approval in the legislative process.

 Dr. Saha underlined the alignment of the state government with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision, stating that the budget follows the direction set by the Prime Minister for the overall development of Tripura.
