Agartala, 11th December 2025: Police in the Sidai police station jurisdiction under Mohanpur Assembly constituency continued their crackdown on illegal cannabis cultivation, carrying out another large-scale operation in Jagatpur on Thursday.
Police sources informed that the cannabis was being cultivated across 27 plots in the area. During the latest raid, officers destroyed nearly 25,000 cannabis plants, marking one of the biggest seizures in recent weeks.
Authorities have reiterated that the anti-narcotics drive will remain ongoing. Police officials stressed that enforcement measures will be intensified until cannabis cultivation in the region is completely eradicated.
