Agartala, 11th June 2026: Acting on a tip-off, security personnel conducted a search operation at Belonia Railway Station on Thursday and seized a large quantity of Eskuf cough syrup. A total of 275 bottles were recovered during the operation.
According to sources, the raid was carried out after authorities received confidential information regarding the suspected transportation of contraband items through the railway station area. During the search, officials recovered 275 bottles of Eskuf cough syrup from two bags found at the station premises.
The seized bottles were subsequently taken into custody and confiscated by the authorities. An investigation has been launched to determine the source of the cough syrup and identify the individuals involved in the case.
Officials said that various angles are being examined as part of the ongoing probe. The seizure has created considerable attention and concern in the railway station area.Further details are awaited as the investigation progresses.
