Agartala, August 13: On the occasion of the 39th foundation day of Agartala Press Club and ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ on August 15 next, various programmes would be organized throughout the day at the premises of the Agartala Press Club.
Press Club’s secretary and senior journalist Pranab Sarkar in a press communique on Saturday informed that the national flag will be hoisted at 8:15 am on August 15 next. All members of the executive committee including non-executive members will remain present.
At six o’clock in the evening there will be a reception for club members and their families. Agartala Press Club will felicitate Paritosh Biswas, senior editor of Jagran Patrika for his special contribution to the newspaper world of Tripura.
Thereafter, Baul Sangeet will be organized where famous Baul artistes of the state will perform the music. If any club members or family members want to perform songs at the event, they can contact the club authorities in advance. The dinner will start at 8 pm and will continue till 10 pm. All members of Agartala Press Club are requested to attend this event along with his family.
