Agartala, September 05, 2022: On the occasion of the 61st state-level Teacher’s Day, this year various schools were felicitated for their outstanding contribution in the education sector of the state. This year Pandit Ishwarchandra Vidyasagar Award was given to retired Headmaster Mouli Bhushan Bhattacharya. Moreover, the Maharani Tulsibati Award was given to Tripura Central University Associate Professor Dr Milan Rani Jamatia, the Maharaja Bir Bikram Kishore Manikya Award was given to Viswa Bharati University Associate Professor Motilal Kalai and the Dr Shyamaprasad Mukherjee Award was given to retired Professor Dr Kalyan Kumar Dighal and eminent philanthropist Sanjay Kumar Pal.
Moreover, on the occasion of the 61st State Teacher’s Day, teacher awards 2022 were given to 7 head masters and head mistress of lower primary and upper primary schools, 4 head teachers and head mistress of secondary and higher secondary schools, 6 undergraduate and graduate teachers, 8 graduate teachers, 9 postgraduate teachers, 1 physical teacher, 1 diet teacher, 5 teachers and teachers of colleges and technical educational institutions. Moreover, 9 schools and 2 colleges were honoured with the best of the year awards in various categories. Education Minister Ratanlal Nath, Chief Secretary JK Sinha and other guests welcomed the teachers.
