Agartala, 28th March 2025: A tragic incident took place this afternoon in the Hapania area under Amtali police station. Eyewitnesses reported a collision involving a vehicle and a newspaper vendor immediately notifying the fire department. Firefighters arrived promptly and rushed the victim to GB Hospital.
It is reported that the 46-year-old newspaper vendor Asish Deb was returning home after work when a speeding vehicle struck him in the Hapania area. The impact caused him to collapse on the road. Despite efforts to rescue him and provide medical assistance, the attending doctors at the hospital pronounced him dead upon arrival.
