Agartala: Sept 10. On specific input provided by the Military Intelligence department in the capital city, East Agartala police station staff arrested five notorious smugglers of an active drugs syndicate here on Sunday at 10 AM.
From the possession of the smugglers, police seized 195 ‘Yaba’ tablets, 86 vials of brown sugar, cash of Rs 19,960, six mobile phones, one Suzuki WagonR car, one scooty, and one Bajaj pulsar motorcycle.
Police sources informed that the interrogation is going on and they will be produced in the court tomorrow. However, preliminary interrogation has revealed that huge money transactions was noted in one of the smugglers bank account.
