71st Battalion of CRPF holds patriotic bike rally under ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign

Agartala, 11th August 2025:   In a spirited display of patriotism and unity, the 71 Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) organized a grand bike rally today from Khumulwng to Jirania, Tripura. The event was held under the banner of the nationwide ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign, aimed at encouraging citizens to proudly hoist the Indian flag at their homes.

Flagged off by Deputy Commandant Harinder Tyagi at the 71 Bn CRPF Headquarters in Khumulwng, the rally saw enthusiastic participation from over 100 CRPF personnel. The convoy traversed a 6-kilometer route covering Radhapur, Tankir Bazar, and Jirania, drawing attention and admiration from local residents along the way.

Speaking at the event, Tyagi highlighted the significance of the campaign: “Har Ghar Tiranga was launched in 2022 as part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, a nationwide initiative by the Ministry of Culture to inspire citizens to celebrate India’s independence and sovereignty by displaying the national flag.”

Senior officers including Yogesh Kumar, Dy. Comdt-71 Bn and Shibu Malick, Asst. Comdt-71 Bn, also joined the rally alongside local civilians, reinforcing the message of national solidarity. The event was met with widespread appreciation from the public, who lauded the battalion’s efforts in promoting patriotic values and community engagement.
