Agartala, 14th April 2026: A total of 75 Hajj pilgrims from the state are set to depart for Saudi Arabia on April 20 to perform the sacred Hajj pilgrimage this year.
This information was shared by Shah Alam, Chairman of the Tripura Hajj Committee, while addressing reporters.
According to him, the selected pilgrims from different parts of the state will first travel to Kolkata. From there, they will board flights to Saudi Arabia to begin their religious journey.
Out of the 75 passengers, 74 are pilgrims (Hajis) and one is a Hajj inspector. Among them, 18 are women and 57 are men.
Shah Alam also highlighted the significant role played by the Central Hajj Committee in ensuring smooth arrangements for the passengers.
All necessary preparations for the journey have already been completed. The administration has taken comprehensive measures to ensure a safe, smooth, and hassle-free travelling for all pilgrims.
