7th SAC Meeting of KVK Sepahijala Highlights Farmer–Scientist Collaboration

Agartala, 17th November 2026:   Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Sepahijala, CAU (I), Tripura organized 7th Scientific Advisory Committee Meeting at KVK Sepahijala office, Latiacherra, Tripura on 17thJanuary, 2026. The programme was conducted under the guidance of DrAnupam Mishra, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, CAU, Imphal&Dr A.K. Mohanty, Director, ICAR-ATARI-Zone-VII, Umiam. The main objective of the meeting is to present progress report of previous year action report (2025) and finalize annual action plan of the coming year (2026).

The programme was attended by Prof. A.K. Upadhyay, Head of Fisheries Extension, Economics and Statistics (FEES), & Dr. Pampa Bhattacharjee, Professor, College of Fisheries, CAU (I), Mr. Pulak Gon, Deputy Director of Horticulture and Soil Conservation, Sepahijala District, Bishalgarh, Dr. Bibhash Kanti De, Deputy Director of Agriculture, Bishalgarh; Dr. Niladri Paul, Assistant Professor,  College of Agriculture, Lembucherra , Tripura; Dr. ArabinduDebbarma, Director, T-SAMETI, Lembucherra, Tripura, Dr. Tamal  Ray, Deputy Director, ARDD, Bishramganj, Govt. Tripura, Sepahijala; Subrata Debnath, Superintendent of Agriculture , Boxanagar, Departent of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare; R . Debroy, Superintendent of Fisheries, Sepahijala, N. Noatia, Deputy Director, Fisheries, Bishalgarh, Sepahijala, Himadri Sekhar Das, Director, TGBRSETI, Gramin Bank, Bishramganj, Sepahijala, Shishir Kumar Das, Dy. Manager, SBI Bishalgarh Branch, Tripura, 2 nos. of Progressive farmer i.e Iqbal Hossain, (North Charilam) & Baisham Hrangkhal (Jampuijala) from Sepahijala district and Dr. ShatabhisaSarkar, Senior Scientist & Head, SMS(Plant Protection), SMS (Agronomy), SMS (Fisheries), SMS (Horticulture), SMS (Agril. Engineering), SMS (Food processing Engineering), Technical Staff and other staff of KVK attended the programme. Farmer Scientist interaction cum Input Distribution was organized at Bisharamganj under CFLD on oilseeds.

In the Programme the annual report of 2025, were highlighted, report was appreciated by the chairman of the meeting, and encouraged to work hard and reached to unreached, unprivileged village of the district. Annual Action Plan of 2026 also presented.
